About this tool
Every portal seems to want a different format: one form accepts only JPG, a design tool needs PNG with transparency, and a website loads fastest with WebP. This converter switches between JPG, PNG and WebP instantly, without uploading your file anywhere. The differences matter. JPG squeezes photographs into small files but cannot store transparency, so a transparent PNG converted to JPG is placed on a clean white background here — exactly what forms expect. PNG keeps text, logos and screenshots perfectly sharp at the cost of a larger file. WebP usually gives the smallest file of all, which is why modern websites prefer it, although older application portals may not accept it yet.
How to use it
- Select the image you want to convert — JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and most other browser-supported formats work.
- Choose the destination format from the list; the notes beside each option explain what it is best for.
- Press 'Convert & download'. The converted file is created on your device and saved straight away.
- If the converted file is still too large for a form, finish with a compressor tool at the exact KB target.
Where it is used
- Students whose admission form rejects PNG and accepts only JPG photographs or signatures.
- Designers and sellers who need a transparent logo as PNG, or a photo as JPG for a listing.
- Website owners converting heavy PNG images to WebP so pages load faster in Pakistan and India.
- Anyone whose phone saved a screenshot or WebP image that an older portal refuses to open.
Tips for a better result
Convert once, from the original. Converting JPG to PNG does not restore quality that JPG removed, it only makes the file bigger; and converting back and forth repeatedly degrades a photograph. If a form asks for JPG under a size limit, convert to JPG first and then use our compressor — doing it in that order gives the portal exactly the format and size it checks for. Keep WebP for websites rather than official forms unless the form explicitly lists it.
